Abstract

First, the workshop will cover the basics of copyright law around the world, including author’s exclusive rights and user’s rights. Next we will look at traditionally, what kind of copyright issues arose from image creation and image use, including the concept of public domain and the Creative Commons legal tools (with which 2 billion works around the world are shared around the world). Then we conclude by looking at NFT and AI, and consider the unique problems facing image use and creation today, in the context of copyright/privacy/ethics.
