The Meditative State of Transformative Drawings - Musically Influenced Imagery: Forms of the Subconscious View Digital Media

This workshop focuses on the art of creating imagery through subconscious drawing. It begins with presenting the participants with a short presentation on this type of image creation, with illustration and animation demonstrations. This workshop includes an interactive experience in creating two distinct images utilizing these methods – materials to create imagery will be provided to the participants. A main emphasis offers participants the opportunity of relaxed drawing, allowing music to inform their subconscious in creating the form through mark-making in a meditative state. Images created might be recognizable or abstract in nature. Through exploration into pareidolia the way this imagery takes form will be up to the distinctive vision of each person. The hopeful goal being a transformative experience for each individual artist at that specific moment in time. Participants can take away new practices in image creation to use in their courses or personal works. No prior experience is needed to participate in this workshop.
