Arts in Health - Development of the Core Curriculum : Advancing the Field through Professionalization

Abstract

The field of arts in health is dedicated to using the power of the arts to enhance health and well-being in diverse institutional and community settings, as defined by the National Organization for Arts in Health (United States). The purpose of the Core Curriculum for Arts in Health Professionals is to educate arts in health artists and administrators around best practices and the application of the Code of Ethics and Standards for Arts in Health Professionals. Development of this resource provides assurance and best practices for arts in health professionals to meet the needs of the healthcare institutions and facilities.
