Abstract

Buddhist psychology offers essential teachings of mindfulness and meditation to help all to end their suffering from co-occurring disorders. Buddhism is the root of western, third wave psychological approaches in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention. Attendees to this presentation will learn essential Buddhist teachings and how to better serve each of their clients, equally using these approaches.
