The Effect of Eight Weeks of Judo Exercise on Motivation and Psychological Health

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine of the effect of eight week Judo exercises on motivation and psychological health of individuals who are blind. This study is applicable and experimental by the aspect of purpose, nature, and method respectively. Statistical population consisted of blind and low-vision non-athletes males of Sari city; 65 people. We used random sampling method to determine sample volume and 20 persons selected. Measuring tool of standard questionnaires, psychological health and motivation of competition was Miller and Powers, Goldenberg and Willis respectively. In order to examine study theories were used a dependent t test by assistance of SPSS 22 software. Results show between hope and psychological health exception of two components; social functioning and depressive symptoms, and motivation of competition before and after eight week of Judo exercises there was a significant difference.
