Abstract
This workshop details the various methods and practices that assist natural detoxification brought about by our bodily systems. This session also includes the science behind detoxification processes. Moreover, Detoxification: A Key to Longevity discusses the benefits of assisted detoxification, as well as its links to longevity in the holistic context. The objective of this workshop is to promote the practice of healthy habits that assist in the body’s natural detoxification. This workshop is delivered through a presentation of information, as well as through interactive exercises designed to help attendees become more aware of how their bodies work to eliminate toxins. The attendees are guided through exercises that promote mindfulness, such as fifteen minutes of “mental detoxification” meditation, and through a guided journaling exercise. It is expected that the results of this workshop are for attendees to develop habits and practices that promote health, as well as improved knowledge of detoxification and its role in the improvement of the individual’s quality of life.
