Neuroenvironment and Its Impact on Consumer Behavior of the la Condamine Shopping Center: Solid Waste as a Social Problem

Abstract

Solid waste is an eminent social problem, as modern consumer societies and various human activities produce large amounts of waste. This generates problems such as pollution, general health problems, environmental damage, and even social and political conflicts, as well as inefficient solid waste management. For this reason, a complete solid waste management system has been defined for the Riobamba market in Chimborazo to reduce the negative effects generated by the lack of integrated solid waste management. The research was carried out by analytical method because it is possible to investigate part of the problems that exist due to the inadequate management of solid waste and the incidence on the consumer; the method of random sampling by conglomerates was applied to carry out a survey to determine the sample. We concluded that integrated solid waste management is designed to take practical and necessary steps to prevent, minimize and correct the adverse effects and impacts of inadequate management of solid waste generated by the markets. It is recommended that traders conduct environmental education seminars to reduce production at the source and separate organic and recyclable waste for economic use.
