Para-cell Urban Symbiosis Model towards Geometric-Based Spatial Amalgamation: Urban Fusion

Abstract

In the realm of expanding urbanization, countries face new and existing urban patterns. They convey futuristic or innovative fabric. Sustainable development stimulates compact settlements which compels inclusive communities. Urban tissue reflects human activities as oriented patterns. Future generation needs obligate technological-based use-pattern that interprets interweaved activities and multi-tasks residents’ functions. Ancient urban settlements feature inclusive communities with central spaces that extrapolate through various cultures; courtyard in Arabic, agora in Greek, Piazzas in Italian, squares in modern cities, in addition of transforming public spaces to semi-public ones with the increasing population. Gathering-around or central promotes urban intimacy and sense of belonging as evidence of unity and social-integration. This research demonstrates multi-geometric grids amalgamation to intertwine an inclusive space that meets future generation in favor of creative forms while materializing their multi-task interweaved functionalities referencing to a central space with generating sustainable settlements. Opposing contemporary fragmented city with fused-geometric cells manifest social integration. A cell to a living organism is an urban cell to a city. A dominant repeating composition of living elements is nuclei. An urban cell nuclei is a central public/civic space where all cell inhabitant and every element are referenced. Urban symbiosis aim at coexistence of urban elements, levels, and layers in harmony seeking equilibrium through referencing to urban semi-nodes that are responsive to urban parameters such as views and airflow.
