The Arctic Circle: Citizen Science, Climate Change, and International Policy

Abstract

The Arctic, a region adapting to climate-related, and human-made factors at an unprecedented rate. This poster presentation session exemplifies and analyzes the citizen science research collected, by the author, in the Sub Arctic Tundra at the Churchill Northern Studies Centre, in Canada, during the month of July, 2019. Furthermore, a synopsis of the Masters Dissertation, engaging the role of international environmental law in sustainable Arctic region policy, is available for discussion. Overall this session is analyzing the field-research of climate change in the Arctic region, and emphasizing its utilization for international environmental policy, founded in sound-science. In addition, a comparative examination of Antarctic research and policy to the Arctic poses questions for the new environmental world order.
