An Exploration of Standardized Methods for Measuring Privacy

Abstract

The present study offers a narrative review of the professional literature with a particular focus on highlighting the methodologies surrounding privacy research. The methodologies under discussion include meta-analysis, systematic review, topic modeling, law review, focus group, game theory simulation, and surveys examining privacy concerns as a privacy paradox-based model. This narrative literature review finds that Internet-based surveys and legal advocacy-based persuasive articles were dominantly represented in the research, but most methodologies were represented in available publications.
