"Pedagogy and the Pandemic: Learning from Educational Experiences during COVID-19"

Dr. Deborah Breen is the newly appointed Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Boston University (BU). Prior to assuming this position at BU, Dr. Breen was Assistant Professor of Digital Humanities at Regis College, MA. Her teaching experience and research in history, digital humanities and academic writing intersects with a deep interest in understanding and supporting the learning experience for both faculty and students. Dr. Breen has designed a variety of learning experiences for students, including team-based experiential learning, crowd-sourced research endeavors, and presentation of undergraduate research in college-wide events. Investigating the often disparate experiences and perspectives of teachers and students, particularly in relation to the role of technology in pedagogy, is a critical part of this framework.
