Building Engagement in Online Learning at Scale

Abstract

Building engagement and presence in online learning at scale is only possible when the process starts at the design stage. This paper shares how the use of the Community of Inquiry framework was implemented to engage massive online communities of learners in a graduate online program. The paper goes from design prototypes to the description of full implementation, evaluation, and results.
