Abstract
Our study focuses on some socioeconomic features of the professionals in the Spanish art sector, namely age, gender, and educational attainment. We showcase the two data sources used in our research that respectively address the formal and the informal economy in this sector. Besides, we introduce the highlights of the two-fold methodology used that combines cumulative distribution functions and statistical inference. The findings can be used to develop policies and initiatives to promote equity, sustainability, and inclusivity within the art community.
