Abstract
This study focuses on addressing the pressing need for accessible educational materials and opportunities that emphasize the critical importance of sustainable building practices for adults. It investigates into the transformation of both residential and commercial structures throughout every phase of the building life cycle, with a specific focus on promoting sustainable practices in the context of energy-efficient accommodations in the south and southeast of the United States. Grounded in evidence-based research, this study explores the process of shifting paradigms within diverse demographics regarding the concept of sustainability. It highlights the significance of adopting a sustainable lifestyle and its implications, particularly by optimizing building designs for energy efficiency.
