Abstract
Human Bone is a piezo electric material and generates an electrical field when stressed by our movements throughout the day. Attaching an electric field to a 3D FFM printer poles the material while it is still warm and malleable making it possible for ambitious entrepreneurs to produce the technology in a local maker space at an extremely low capitalization. In this case, science and technology works for environmental issues and not the other way around. The same is true for manufacturing the other physical components out of Pyrex and metals allowing a maker space to produce a higher quality and more responsive product than would be expected from a larger manufacturer. An additive manufacturing technique that uses sound instead of heat to fasten together two dissimilar metals eliminates Oxygen molecules from between the two metals to eliminate the threat of any galvanic action. Funds spent to produce and install the technology remain local to stimulate the local economy and provide meaningful employment in a more sustainable economic model. Community investment in Zero Energy, Carbon Neutral Rail Transportation then leads the way to changing the patterns and cultures of production and consumption. We explore the combination of Piezo Electric and Thermal Electric, which is much safer for communities along the tracks because the electricity can be delivered directly to the vehicles. The technology reduces the amount of energy exponentially as there is no line loss either to the overhead wires or through the electrical grid.
