Green Adaptive Reuse: Challenges and the Most Practical Approaches Toward Healthy, Sustainable Cities

Abstract

Innovative technologies are being developed every day to help architects design and build greener buildings, but what about existing buildings? Instead of considering them a lost cause and waiting for green buildings to be phased in, remodeling existing buildings should be a substantial focus of worldwide green efforts. For this to happen, it is important to know the best sustainable practices, unique challenges, and significant benefits of these old buildings. This research paper discusses the integration of innovative technologies and practices for reusing these building to make our cities greener, more sustainable, and healthier.
