Development of a Computerized Information System to Track and Monitor the Environment

Abstract

The main objective of this work is to develop and apply a computerized system in web format for environmental monitoring, creating an Environmental System for IFCE campus Quixadá, taking into account the environmental certifications and legislation. By enabling the entire campus to have a simple and broad view of how the IF behaves in relation to environmental standards, it can facilitate the development of strategies and internal activities to bring the possibility of regulating to a reality that ensures sustainability and preservation. The implementation of the system to be developed will be applied to an IFCE campus, which currently has an environmental policy entirely linked to internal practices. However, in finding difficulties in complying with what is laid down in environmental legislation, it is clear that the development and application of effective and innovative environmental management methods is necessary to make the application of the environmental regulation even easier and more practical. Therefore, the project aims to systematize all the environmental information of an IFCE Campus into an environmental monitoring and monitoring system, to contribute to the rational use of water, reduction in waste generation, energy consumption, and even reduction of internal expenses.
