A Practical Solution to the Global Food Crisis: Implementation and Solution

Abstract

It has been proven and established by many international organizations and scholars of the benefits of Biochar. Our project objective is to find and connect the experts in various fields so that they can exchange their information, resulting in a strategy of sequestering carbon that is trapped in biomass all over the surface of Earth. Preventing the carbon from forming CO2 and other greenhouse gases will lower the total atmospheric green house gas, thus slowing and reversing global warming. The product we have developed is called Biochar, a soil amendment sequestering carbon in a solid form. Not only is Biochar beneficial to sequestering global greenhouse gas, but with agriculture as well. A case study in Australia is considered that involved treating farmland with Biochar, with up to 70% increase in the overall yield.
