Using Youtube to Tackle Climate Change

For over a year I have been making YouTube videos about the ideas, innovations, and individuals working to make our world a better place. My channel, Levi "Save the World" Hildebrand, seeks to reframe the environmentalist movement from one of sacrifice to one that inspires. Through this messaging, I have developed a following of over 24,000 subscribers in just one year. In my videos, I share the positive stories relating to environmentalism and sustainability: from bioluminescent glowsticks to urban farms to meatless burgers from A&W. In my showcase, I hope to demonstrate the power of video as a communication tool for social change, and how a re-framing of the environmentalism movement could contribute to its success.
