Abstract

Education among different regions is driven gradually by job markets and national competitiveness both economically and politically instead of human potential and sustainability development, which is one of the crucial challenges faced by educators and policy makers in ocean societies. The differences in physical education among different regions in ocean societies may affect the quality of life such as safety and health care or happiness of citizens. The research aims to investigate the current situations of physical education in terms of teachers’ qualification (degree in physical education) and their national job market potentials as well as identifying the transforming role of physical education in human potential development and peacebuilding in ocean societies. Both USA and European countries in ocean regions have been selected for investigation. Physical education related data such as the degree cost, average salary, K-12 school in USA and European countries are collected for examining the possible relationships with the situations of society from the perceptions of quality of life, community well-being, economic well-being etc. This research inspects the relationship between physical education and the constancy of ocean societies through logical regression and discuss how physical education can better shaped the future of ocean societies. The significance of improving the access and equality of physical education with the technology support for minor groups such as children with autism has been demonstrated by highlighting the transforming power of physical education for developing the human potential of nations near oceans.
