The Art of Taming AI in the Flipped-Blended Learning integrated Class

Abstract

Roosevelt’s famous quote, “We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future,” emphasizes the essential connection between education and the ever-changing global landscape. In today’s rapidly evolving world, traditional education methods may struggle to keep pace, especially with the emergence of new, unpredictable competitors like AI. To bridge this gap, I have developed a methodology called FLEND: Flipped and Blended learning integrated. FLEND focuses on cultivating the student’s knowledge and developing his digital or leadership-oriented skills. 2-Teachers use AI generators to: a. Create tailored language activities and assignments to promote engagement and personalized learning. b. Customize comprehension passages to adapt to individual student needs and levels c. Incorporate AI-generated “Smart Questions” to encourage critical thinking 3-The students use AI generators to: d.Create the in-class bank. This repository saves statistics, facts, and quotes. It becomes a valuable resource for further activities, including writing, discussions, and debates. e. Create lesson-related posters, which help the students develop visual literacy, encourage creativity, and enhance communication. f. Produce videos that showcase their creativity, critical thinking, and communication abilities. The FLEND methodology illustrates how AI is not a malevolent tool that should be banned; rather it needs to be tamed to serve the students appropriately and efficiently if integrated effectively into the modern learning environment.
