Abstract
The efficacy of using generative AI, such as ChatGPT or OpenAI, as an educational resource has been a topic of intense debate in recent years. A significant amount of research has been conducted on the benefits and pitfalls of generative AI in research and essay writing. This paper extends this discussion to the visual design of presentation slideshows in a classroom setting. It will present an examination of student business pitches employing AI-generated images in place of stock images. The plan is to focus on how students use this technology to visualize their ideas. These presentations will be evaluated against a test sample of student presentations employing more traditional image databases. The purpose of this discussion is to evaluate the efficacy of this new tool in the slide design by determining the impact of AI-generated images on audience engagement and persuasion.
