Abstract
The city as a tool for social and political order, since 2013, has been in motion in Brazil. A new middle class expresses mixed sounds, dissonant voices, and street manifestations that can reveal cultural changes never before experienced in this Latin American country. In this context, how are virtual media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and WhatsApp used as research instruments in architecture and urbanism?
