Evolution of Social Media among Rural Population in India

Abstract

This study aims to understand the role of social media among the rural population and its implication on traditional media and how it became a tool for spreading fake news among the masses. Methods to gather the data are through primary research and survey and a questionnaire among the youth and adults. The outcome that the research will provide insights on how fast social media is penetrating in Indian society.
