Media in Pakistan Provides Equal Space to Political Parties’ Leaders in Media Arguments during Election Campaign

Abstract

This paper uses Charles Wright Mills (1956) theory “the Power Elite” with the qualitative approach that media using the elite power and influence their workers against political parties, therefore media worker give extra space to main stream political leaders versus local leaders as dominants and alternative stakeholders. The main question of this research paper is, does media in Pakistan provide equal space to political parties’ leaders in media arguments during election campaign? We ask from multi-stake partners. In this research the media workers historical events that media elite influence the media workers were found to influence and terminated from their services and threaten. The media elite influence over the media workers is analyzed as text literature; and questions are asked of the provincial and national leaders with the qualitative semi-structure interview as open-ended questions.
