Abstract
In our turbulent times where the world experiences the rise of extremism, racism and discriminations, the need for religious literacy is more necessary than ever before. In 2015, the digital project ‘Reporting on Faith Minorities in Greece’ was initiated aiming at interviewing various religious minorities all over Greece and at contributing in the religious literacy field. This specific study focuses on the process and progress of this project, on the existing challenges of reporting religious minorities in every part of Greece as well as on investigating the future of religious literacy through digital media platforms. Also, we highlight topics such as the cultural identity and the religious otherness. Last, the study provides recommendations and suggestions for introducing ‘religious literacy’ workshops and trainings in the sphere of mainstream and digital media.
