Abstract

Many religious teachings teach compassion, patience, feeding the hungry, defending the oppressed, self-constraint, forgiveness; those should bring people together and should transform earth into a paradise. Examples are the consistent teachings by Moses, David, Solomon, Isaiah, Jesus, and prophets. Some other religious teachings are based on boasting, skepticism, lack of faith, and unnecessary conflicts. Examples are the boasting of Paul and his inconsistent teachings of free salvation by grace, original sin, and atonement. Although core religion teachings guide us to believe in God and to do good deeds to help others, scholars of each religion have distorted some teachings in order to claim that their religion is the only true religion and that they have the only way for salvation.
