Harmony, Peace, and Philosophical Approach in the Poetry of Allama Muhammad Iqbal: Traditions of Mysticism, Self Knowledge, and Revival in Eastern Poetry

Abstract

Dr. Muhammad Iqbal is such a marvelous figure in sub-continent literature and philosophy whose influence spans centuries and is transcontinental. If the work of this enthralling poet-cum-philosopher is relevant after a century, it is not beyond certain reasons. He is a poet with serious human concern whose vision encompass all intellectual layers of human faculty. He had a throbbing mind and a humane heart. His philosophical and poetic concerns leave no sphere of human need unaddressed, be it ethical, mundane, physical, metaphysical, spiritual, emotional, religious, scientific, political, social, or economical, etc. In my research paper, I discuss its relevance to Pakistani culture and social issues of South Asia as well.
