Abstract
In Islamic mysticism the heart in the locus of Intellect and human psyche. Also also from the perspective of Islamic psychology and cognitive neuroscience the heart plays an enormous role. With the term heart of course I don’t mean the psychical heart. My focus in this poster is on the metaphysical heart and its different categories. The key questions are: What is the relation between heart and the intellect (aql)? And why is heart the locus of human psyche?
