Abstract
The concept of human security has been investigated significantly during the past three decades in international contemporary viewpoints. In the related international United Nation literature, a significant shift from the concept of “state security” to “human individualized security” has been occurred. Religious leaders and thinkers of human society are highly responsible for teachings of religion for contemporary era in accordance with the demand of time, in an attractive and acceptable way to provide suitable evidences for the improvement of human society. This study examines the effectiveness of religion in human life and the importance of security from the perspective of religion. This analytic-descriptive study describes and analyzes the shifting concept of security in international modern dialogue as well as defining the term of security rooted in religions including Zoroastrianism, Christianity and Islam to answer the main question of this discussion. Due to the diversity of religions, doctrine of three great religions (Zoroastrianism, Christianity and Islam) have been selected for this work and the importance of human security in these religions and the effect of religious ethics and morality on the preservation and development of human security has been evaluated through referring to the main documents related to these three religions.
