Advertising in Pentecostalism and Environmental Health in a South African Context

Abstract

One of the factors that contribute to the growth of Pentecostalism throughout the world is the ability to advertise their programs and services. It is not different in South Africa, the cities are endowed with many posters and flyers for advertising. This paper looks at the impact of these forms of advertising on the environment and the health of the citizens. The paper discusses ways in which the government can intervene to regulate advertisement industry in order to make the environment clean. By using observation participants method, the paper also looks at the role of the church in environmental health.
