Leadership Team Coaching in Higher Education Institutions in Kosovo

Abstract

Our research aims to identify the leaders’ forms and methods of communication in Higher Education Institutions (HEI) and the establishment of new transformational leadership as a tool for improving the education system in Kosovo. Therefore, we will analyze the real-time action of the leaders of HEI’s and the inclusion of the staff members in a decision-making process; the transformational leadership, including the role the leaders have in respecting the diversity of ideas and the opposite thoughts; the transformation of the leaders in the sense of accepting the different behaviors and the capacity to involve the real stakeholders’ perspectives etc. The research objective is to have an overlook on leaders’ profiles in HEI’s. The research will analyze the tendency of transforming leadership from individual educated leaders to the active responding leaders, the ways they have established the new effective teams and the role of the Team Coaching process in the decision-making process in HEI’s, as well as the challenges they are facing with. We will survey if the decision-making process is based on the leader’s vision or in the recruitment of differences, the way how the HE institutions set the goals and how they share the different approaches. The research also analyzes the commitment of all members and effective communication strategies the leadership uses to solve the differences between the member’s point of view and to raise the moral and alignment between the companies’ staff.
