By: Anwarul Wadud

The study aimed to investigate the career growth and development of Bangladeshi nationals residing in the Philippines. To meet the purpose, this research was pursued to analyze the career growth and development of Bangladeshi in the Philippines, determine the strength and weaknesses of the career growth and development of Bangladeshi in the Philippines. Descriptive research design was used to find out the perception of the respondents based on their experience. Results revealed that the demographic profile of the respondents was determined by the gender, age, educational attainment, marital status and length of stay in the Philippines. Seven key factors have been considered in assessing the career growth and development of Bangladeshi in the Philippines namely proficiency, security, opportunities, satisfaction, threats, work life balance and benefits/remunerations. All of these factors have been considered as the significant predictors for career growth and development for Bangladeshi in the Philippines. However, the perceptions of three groups of respondents resulted in a statistically significant difference in the assessment of career growth and development of Bangladeshi in the Philippines. Here, it can be noted that all of these seven factors were considered as significant predictors. The multiple correlation results show that the combination of all these factors is significant predictors of career growth and development. Therefore, the proposed career growth and development model for Bangladeshi who would like to live, study and do business in the Philippines was composed of the seven factors affecting their career growth and development.
