Abstract
Attitude is a key factor that decides an individual’s improvement and empowerment. As such, the author aims to study attitude towards research. Attitude towards research is often found to be developed during the final year of the undergraduate course or during the graduate course when an individual is required to carry out a capstone project. The target group is the final year students of undergraduate course and the graduate students from different specializations like engineering, law, arts, sciences and commerce and from rural, suburban and urban background in India. This paper compares the attitude of male and female students towards research. A survey was conducted using a pretest, validated and reliable tool to asses the attitude towards research. This paper discusses the statistical results of the same.
