Abstract
Regeneration is a concept that is rooted in restoring and rebuilding relationships to aspects of our lives to regenerate our capability to live in a new way. In order to do this within the travel and tourism industry, you must have an awareness of the key factors in establishing truly regenerative models. This includes cultural nuances, environmental understandings, language and worldview as well as practices and principles of how to build in models that truly leave the place in a better state than when you arrived. Ra James illuminates how he has done in this in the past, in California, Texas and Ghana whilst sharing some insights he has gathered from his overarching work in regeneration. This includes a how-to in design models of regenerative tourism that across the entire value chain that will restore environments and deepen travelers connection to life and nature.
