Risks for the Latin American Tourism Industry 2020-2023: Crisis Anticipation Agenda

Abstract

The main purpose of this paper is to determine the most critical risks that threaten the tourism industry in Latin America and the Caribbean for the period 2020-2023. The literature review shows many previous studies of risks to the tourism industry. This is supported through the practices of many experts in the security tourism industry of Latin America, in two specific phases: the first was a Delphi methodology that allows us to identify a set of new risks. And the second phase was developed with a Likert scale questionnaire that results in a multivariate analysis of the main risks.
