Revealing Revelations from Ageists

Abstract

This study focuses on defining ageism and considering it in the context of economic constraints during COVID-19. Conceptually, this project was fueled by the comments of Governor Dan Patrick of Texas. However, his comments contribute to a vital discussion of needing skilled workers within each community. And yet, often skilled workers who are older are pushed out of the workplace due to their age and the cost of paying for their training and/or experience. An analysis of cases of ageism are explored.
