German Realist Novella between 1840 and 1860 portray the disruption of rural economic and sociological structures in rural and urban life—using literature to portray social change. The texts covered include canonical works by Annette von Dröste Hüllshoff, Theodor Storm, and Gottfried Keller. The workshop will center on how to read literature to illustrate information for the Social Sciences.
