Abstract
The purpose of this study is to highlight the experiences and potential difficulties faced by students with disabilities in tertiary education. The research was conducted through semi-structured interviews with graduates of the Department of Primary Education of the University of Patras. Three main topics are considered: difficulties while being students regarding the nature of their disability; the types and means of support they received while studying; and strategies that they used to complete their studies. Special attention is given to the use of new technologies in the educational process. Interviews are recorded and analyzed. Suggestions for improving conditions for people with disabilities in tertiary education are offered.
