Abstract

Street Art is a means of expression that uses walls as canvases and streets as art galleries open to society, although it is in people’s daily space, street art remains a means of artistic expression with great potential of diffusion. It is an artistic expression that often expresses a criticism, a protest, or a commemoration. There is no doubt that it adds color and new stories in degraded neighborhoods. Street art becomes our visual landscape, urban images that are reproduced in social networks and also in tourist publications made by the municipalities. In Zaragoza (Spain) Street Art has an established and recognized trajectory, starring actions such as: The Assault Festival, which is disseminated on the website of the City’s Public Art catalog, is also the subject of participatory projects such as Civitas Mural and coordinated projects such as the App for the dissemination of the heritage of Aragon “Open Air Museum”. This study is focused on the geolocation of the murals and the dissemination of them by different means based on the analysis of the case of street art in Zaragoza as building a collective heritage.
