The Variables Found in Organizational Culture That Influence Employees' Behavior

Abstract

My project is a qualitative study researching the variables found in organizational culture that influence employee behavior. The interview questions consider management influence organizational culture. Organizational culture influences sustainability, retention, voluntary, and involuntary separation of employees. What role does organizational culture have on sustainability? Do employees consider their organization a provide a family atmosphere? Is the employee motivated more by intrinsic or extrinsic rewards? Does management promote organizational culture where employees would nominate their organization as “One of the Best Places To Work In America”? This study is based on interviews with employees from the following industries: oil and gas, high tech, banking and finance, media and higher education. All the individuals in this population have at least 10 years of 20 experience in their industry.
