Philosophy Education in Brazil : Working For a Better Education Quality

Abstract

Philosophy teaching in Brazil is facing a very deep quality crisis. On the other hand the teaching of Astronomy and Biology are becoming just too technical, with no philosophical reflexion at all. After 30 years of teaching and educational work and research, I founded a school so Brazilians can have a complementary education in Humanities and Philosophy of Sciences at no cost at all or a minimum cost. An overview of this initiative is presented during this session.
