Abstract
This study considers how evaluators and funeral home employers could collaborate and comprehensively disseminate funeral home hiring practices based on visible body art. Specifically, it examines funeral home employers’ perceptions of hiring funeral directors with visible body art, as the field has been historically been conservative. The Model for Collaborative Evaluations (MCE) was used in this study to assess the perceptions of funeral home employers as they assessed body art on proposed candidates. Implications, including revising employee handbooks, based on MCE funeral home employers’ perceptions are discussed.
