Abstract
We present reflections on the strategies used on the teach of art at school, based on the actions developed at the 2nd and 4th grades of the Elementary Education at the “Escola Estadual Padre Álvaro Corrêa Borges” (state school) in Viçosa, through the Art/Pedagogy Team of the Programa de Residência Pedagógica (Pedagogical Residency Program) at the Federal University of Viçosa, within August/2018 and January/2020. The team was composed by the Dance, Pedagogy and Early Childhood Education graduation courses, under the coordination of the professors Rita Márcia Vaz de Mello, PhD, Márcia Onísia, M. Sc. and Rosana Pimenta, PhD - who guided this work, under the tutelage of the tutor and schoolteacher Carolina Rosa Barroso. The Pedagogical Residency program worked in conjunction with the Mandatory Supervised Internship of the Dance Teacher Training Course, which allowed the intern to act as a fellow in the program. Based on the resident’s experiences, a consubstantiated report was developed regarding the program’s actions in three stages: training, setting and conducting. Which culminated as a final work of the undergraduate course, a descriptive study of Experience Report with the objective of discussing the use of the school space and its functions conditioned by the school routine as a place of learning through artistic educational actions with students in order to stimulate the idea of belonging, appropriation, production of knowledge, and meaning.
