"Ethnography and Design: Case of Conversation Technology" Ilya Utekhin is Associate Professor in the Department of Liberal Arts and Sciences at St. Petersburg University, Russia. Since 1996, he has also held the position of Associate Professor at the Department of Ethnology/Department of Anthropology at the European University at St. Petersburg. He has previously taught at the University of Helsinki (Finland), Institutum Studiorum Humanitatis (Slovenia), University Paris IV-la Sorbonne (France), University of St. Quentin-en-Yveline (France), American University at Prague (Czech Republic), and the Center for Independent Sociological Research (Russia). He received his PhD in Anthropology from the Institute of Anthropology and Ethnology, Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow in 2001.
