Abstract
Storytelling has been an important part of human life throughout history. It allows communities to unlearn, learn and relearn. There are different mediums of storytelling that are used in an individual’s day to day life. For instance, ideas are shared through oral stories, comics, music, art, architecture etc. This paper explores the concept of architectural narrative and its significance in conveying messages and stories. The research analyses the potential of museums and the importance of incorporating architectural narratives in museums, particularly in 21st century India. The research is also an exploratory and comparative analysis of narrative elements like semiotics, symbolism, spatial structure etc. and finally derives strategies to design spaces that speak to the users.
