Abstract

As the saying goes: A picture is worth a thousand words. This session will show how you can incorporate more free online data resources in your courses. With more data, our students can have a better global understanding of significant trends and issues, identify problems and potential solutions, and conduct better decision-making supported by data. Ideas to explore include: Utilizing global data visuals for interdisciplinary teaching; Creating assignments tailored to your course using data/visuals; and Sharing an insight specific to your discipline supported by data.
