Abstract
As the largest archipelago in the world, Indonesia is currently facing financial, institutional, and technical challenges to protect its islands and invest more in climate actions. In 2021, Indonesia has announced the long-term strategy (LTS) on climate change which spells out its most ambitious scenario to reach the peak of national greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and towards carbon neutrality by 2060 or sooner. This paper explores how this global commitment can be translated into the national provision and local action in Thousand Islands Regency, Jakarta, Indonesia.
