Abstract
This paper is a comparative study between the perspectives of the most important North American newspapers (The New York Times and The Washington Post) and a Colombian New Paper (El Espectador), regarding the murders of social activists in Colombia during Ivan Duque´s Presidency. Describing how this critical situation is reported, not just to North American people, but for the whole world, will help us to understand what the perception is about it and how all the information is send to the United States of America, what they think about Duque´s government and how the International Community perceives the murders of social activists in Colombia. Our driving question is: How do North American newspapers report on the murders of social activists in Colombia during Ivan Duque´s government?
