Global Minimum Wage: Is It Possible and Can It Be Implemented?

Abstract

Inequality, poverty, unemployment, and Immigration have been unrelenting problems world-wide. In this paper the author is proposing an exploration of Global Minimum Wage to quantitatively and qualitatively alleviate these socioeconomic problems. Primarily, the idea and potential for such proposal will be examined and secondarily, the mechanisms through which it can be implemented. Creating a global minimum wage will have to consider a global economy and the methods and formula to figure out the wages deemed economically fair to global labor. Possible alternatives will be explored and examined in the paper.
